nightdog_barks: Can of Maryland Club ground coffee (Coffee)
Ugh and blah and all that. Cloudy and cool (50) and still damp, although it's supposed to be warmer than yesterday. Woke up at about four and couldn't go back to sleep for the longest time, and when I finally did it was filled with jumbled-up dreams that I can't remember.

On a better note, the story I've been working on gave me its real name, so I'll put that up a little later today.

Argh, need more coffee.

Sparked by a comment from [livejournal.com profile] takes_a_fairy, although this probably isn't the fic she envisioned. More notes are at the end of this tale; the LJ-cut text is from Walt Whitman's A child said, What is the grass?.

All goes onward and outward, nothing collapses ...  )
nightdog_barks: (Puccini)
So. Baked bread (whole wheat, ten-grain, pepitas). Made corned beef and cabbage (and potatoes and carrots) for dinner. Accidentally bonked the dog in the nose with the refrigerator door; I felt the very light thump!, and after a moment there was a highly indignant "yip!". Hee.

Watched Kings ... cut for spoilers in case anyone's watching this on the West Coast )

And so, and so, and so. Nice night.
