Something a bit over 100 degrees, with rain showers popping up on weather radar all around us -- none here, but it's enough to make Chango take refuge in her den anyway. She's just starting to shed, so we've got blots and curlicues of black ink fur everywhere. Will definitely need to vacuum this week.

It's hot enough today that Zippy Cat has come down among the lesser mortals to sprawl on the kitchen floor. And I need to vacuum the back porch because there are clumps of blue-gray Ollie fur on the rugs out there.

I do have a cat and she sheds just the way you described. We're getting more than our share of rain here in Tennessee too, except our temperature is quite a bit lower than yours, 80 degrees.
