Overcast, warm and humid. 85 degrees (29.4 Celsius). Read the first chapter of Olive Kitteridge last night and really enjoyed it.
Need to run a couple of errands. Refilled the bird dish, blue jays have been coming to drink and take splashing baths in it. On the other hand, some maraudingbastard squirrel has managed to knock down the small bird feeder. Also need to update
nightdog_writes. I've been neglecting it ...
Eh, more later.

Date: 2010-05-25 06:03 pm (UTC)... but I have to get out of here before I start saying things I shouldn't :)
Yep, you don't wanna do that. No matter how tempting. ;-D

Date: 2010-05-25 07:05 pm (UTC)I am working today, and there's a thunderstorm approaching outside my window, and I had a cheezeburger for lunch, and I wave my fist at your squirrels (and mine) *waves*, and now I'm going back to work. :)

Date: 2010-05-25 07:25 pm (UTC)Heh. It feels like we could have a thunderstorm here, but the

Date: 2010-05-25 09:27 pm (UTC)As for squirrels: my mister took the BB rifle to work today to use on some squirrels that keep getting into things at work. I wonder how that will go over. The boss likely won't care.
To clarify: the mister said something about popping said squirrels in the rear-end to discourage their return. Ha! We'll see how that works out for him. *g*

Date: 2010-05-26 12:34 am (UTC)One of Corgiguy's neighbors when he was growing up was an old lady who was arrested for shooting squirrels in her yard. So she got a slingshot and developed dead-eye aim. Killed the bastards and the cops never knew. :D
We are still having a great time. Went today to walk on the beach and to the lighthouse and Spanish fort, and found another great second-hand bookstore. This is mainly how we spend vacations: walk a lot, find bookstores, go see things. It's very relaxing.

Date: 2010-05-26 12:44 am (UTC)Hee, you sound like Perspi.
Yeah, that's the thing -- I seriously doubt it's legal to shoot firearms in our neighborhood (even though I've heard gunshots a few times on holidays). So I should get something like a slingshot or a super-soaker or even just the hose. *g*
YOUR VACATION SOUNDS AWESOME. And that's what we do on vacations, too. I remember going to City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco and some beautiful old bookstore in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
