Read more of The Heretic's Daughter, am now about halfway through. Had thought about going out today but have too many things to do at home. Grrr. No, I mean GRRRRRR.

I've just folded two sets of sheets and looked over the three roofing bids we've gotten. Also there was a wren singing outside, which was happy-making, so I don't know why I'm still so cranky. It must just be one of those days. Bleh.

Have a kitchen to clean up...and some things to get ready for outgoing mail tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm not doing much, else.

I'm sure glad Mare is on the mend. I hope my son is, too. Ain't heard from him since he called on my birthday.

I seem to have frittered away the afternoon, although I did cook a nice dinner (flat iron steak with mushroom gravy, green peas, and homemade biscuits) and put up the wallpaper border in the downstairs bathroom.

And now I have to make my lunch to take to work tomorrow, for the long, lovely Thanksgiving break will be over at 6:25 a.m. Ugh. :(
