Read more of The Heretic's Daughter, am now about halfway through. Had thought about going out today but have too many things to do at home. Grrr. No, I mean GRRRRRR.

The sun is shy, peeking in and out from behind the clouds. I would've been happier waiting for the bus with some gloves and a coat, but left the house in a rush this morning.

Among my things to do at the house: unpack. Which is more than enough.

It's drizzling down rain today, but I have gone forth and done errands. I might go upstairs and do some sewing in a just a bit, since it's a good day to be indoors.

I've just folded two sets of sheets and looked over the three roofing bids we've gotten. Also there was a wren singing outside, which was happy-making, so I don't know why I'm still so cranky. It must just be one of those days. Bleh.

I seem to have frittered away the afternoon, although I did cook a nice dinner (flat iron steak with mushroom gravy, green peas, and homemade biscuits) and put up the wallpaper border in the downstairs bathroom.

And now I have to make my lunch to take to work tomorrow, for the long, lovely Thanksgiving break will be over at 6:25 a.m. Ugh. :(

Sorry you're feeling so crummy. I have a story that might make you smile. I saw one of "your" icons in the Indianpolis Art Museum the other night. The Sunlight one by Benson.

It really is a beautiful painting. I had stopped to study it because there's a lot of detail and texture and light that doesn't translate well onscreen. It was funny - the woman I was with is both a RL and LJ friend, and she recognized it as your icon too. :)

Yep, his name is Frank Benson. I took a picture on my phone, but I can't find the adapter for the SDS card. Hmm...

I like that one too, but I'm not familar with the painting.

Ah! I have Mr. Benson's name in the Photobucket version, but not on LJ.

The other one is by an Australian artist -- a woman. But that's all I can remember because I didn't write it down. D'oh!
