Best first -- [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl's newest, Give Us A Hand O'Thine. Wilson visits a farm in his quest for organic foodiness, and lands in much more trouble than he counted on. It's funny! Not harmful or angsty or boojums jumping out of closets. Trust me on this. Hee.

Worst Cowboys game ever today, and that's saying something. I don't know why they even bothered getting on the plane to Philly. Yeesh.

When making a WIP file, put everything in it. Where the hell are those paragraphs I wrote? I put the notes in there, but not the story fragment. D'oh!

Okay. Back to making barbecue-brisket sandwiches for dinner.

ETA: Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] topaz_eyes -- I sent that thing back to you. :-)

Thanks for the rec, luv. :)

Oooh, brisket sandwiches sound wonderful. We had pork loin rubbed with sage and lemon pepper, a green salad and a pot of the ever-present spicy saffron rice. It was yummy and light after all that holiday food.

I've been trying to clear out my WIP file (it's do or die before 2009) and I could not find an entire story I'd started. Must have had a black mood and just killed it out, but I found the notes I'd made on the poem that inspired it. So it's not just you!

The brisket sandwiches were delicious, and that pork loin sounds great! We didn't even have a salad tonight -- just the sandwiches, doctored pinto beans (Mr. N added chopped onions, a little olive oil, and cumin), and a bottle of Argentine Malbec.

Sometimes I think some of these little story fragments that I do all the time will never go anywhere, so I don't put them in my WIP file, and then (of course) months later I figure something out or I think one of them might fit someplace else and I have to go LOOKING for it. Gah.

Oooohh, what's talking to you now, dear Dog?

I had a lot of fun and drew two piglets and a rubber ducky today. Have posted the piggies but the duck needs some color still. Soon as it's done I'll put it up, too.

So now I'm home and wide awake and feeling gregarious. It's not the internet that's my addiction; it's talking to my friends. :-)

I've been looking for something that might serve as a New Year's piece, but I don't think either the CODIS fic or the Ardennes AU will be finished by then, so I started thinking about the anthrax fragment. I did find it, happily enough.

Glad you found it!

Hello!

I just posted a whiny post, and I'm all feeling chatty. :)

I would love to finish a WIP. *wistful*

Oh, Perspi, you are totally allowed to post a whiny post!

I would love to finish a WIP. *wistful*

You will, I'm sure of it. You have just been insanely busy with, y'know, a real life. *g*

Yes, someday I will finish something. Maybe when I don't have a real life anymore... :)

mmmm brisket sandwiches.

Yes, thank you! I got it. I'm thinking of changing the title to Resolutio Febris (Fever Resolution). Everything sounds better in Latin. Except I have no clue about Latin, so I don't know if it's written properly. :-)

Oh, excellent!

Hee! Let's see -- you could try dropping a note to [livejournal.com profile] purridot and/or [livejournal.com profile] rubberbutton. They're both Classics scholars and are basically the foundation upon which The Annals rests. *smiles*

[livejournal.com profile] jadesfire2808 is so brilliant at Latin that she turned it into SG:A's Ancient Language. I always ask her when I need a language consult. And, yes, everything sounds better in Latin.
