Observations and A Rec

Best first --
pwcorgigirl's newest, Give Us A Hand O'Thine. Wilson visits a farm in his quest for organic foodiness, and lands in much more trouble than he counted on. It's funny! Not harmful or angsty or boojums jumping out of closets. Trust me on this. Hee.
Worst Cowboys game ever today, and that's saying something. I don't know why they even bothered getting on the plane to Philly. Yeesh.
When making a WIP file, put everything in it. Where the hell are those paragraphs I wrote? I put the notes in there, but not the story fragment. D'oh!
Okay. Back to making barbecue-brisket sandwiches for dinner.
ETA: Oh, and
topaz_eyes -- I sent that thing back to you. :-)

Date: 2008-12-29 02:59 am (UTC)Oooh, brisket sandwiches sound wonderful. We had pork loin rubbed with sage and lemon pepper, a green salad and a pot of the ever-present spicy saffron rice. It was yummy and light after all that holiday food.
I've been trying to clear out my WIP file (it's do or die before 2009) and I could not find an entire story I'd started. Must have had a black mood and just killed it out, but I found the notes I'd made on the poem that inspired it. So it's not just you!

Date: 2008-12-29 03:29 am (UTC)Sometimes I think some of these little story fragments that I do all the time will never go anywhere, so I don't put them in my WIP file, and then (of course) months later I figure something out or I think one of them might fit someplace else and I have to go LOOKING for it. Gah.

Date: 2008-12-29 04:37 am (UTC)I had a lot of fun and drew two piglets and a rubber ducky today. Have posted the piggies but the duck needs some color still. Soon as it's done I'll put it up, too.
So now I'm home and wide awake and feeling gregarious. It's not the internet that's my addiction; it's talking to my friends. :-)

Date: 2008-12-29 04:44 am (UTC)I've been looking for something that might serve as a New Year's piece, but I don't think either the CODIS fic or the Ardennes AU will be finished by then, so I started thinking about the anthrax fragment. I did find it, happily enough.
