Cold Tuesday

28 degrees and overcast. I'm feeling like I should curl up and read Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights or something. Instead I have to go to the post office and grocery store. Bah, humbug.

Hee. I wish it was snowing -- at least then it would be pretty. As it is, it's just ... gray. And I'd actually prefer not to have any adventures today, thank you.

Winter in California was nothing but wet gray. Maybe it's because I grew up with it that I like it - I've gotten used to thinking of that specific mode of the season as a feeling of comfort, like everything's been swaddled inside heavy blankets.
