28 degrees and overcast. I'm feeling like I should curl up and read Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights or something. Instead I have to go to the post office and grocery store. Bah, humbug.

*sips coffee*

28 and overcast? Is that it?

And going to the grocery store can be an adventure! Well, if you do it right.

Hee. I wish it was snowing -- at least then it would be pretty. As it is, it's just ... gray. And I'd actually prefer not to have any adventures today, thank you.

*g*

Winter in California was nothing but wet gray. Maybe it's because I grew up with it that I like it - I've gotten used to thinking of that specific mode of the season as a feeling of comfort, like everything's been swaddled inside heavy blankets.

Want to trade? Here it's gray and 3 FUCKING DEGREES. FAHRENHEIT. GAH.

We're supposed to get dumped on again tonight. Which is OK, since the warm air ahead of this COLD FRONT OF DOOM actually melted most of the now we had.

Hee! PERSPI, TELL ME HOW YOU REALLY FEEL!

*g* Damn, 3 degrees is just INSANE.

NO KIDDING!

I'm back in my office now and have cranked the thermostat (bad state employee that I am) and I'm finally, finally starting to thaw out. Although my hands are still cold. I'm going to have to have some tea later, I think.

32 degrees here, and overcast. I am trying to be motivated to finish things at work, but I am still feeling that I wish I had fangs.

But I did get to the post office, the grocery store, and Target yesterday. I bought milk and marshmallows for cocoa and had a cup before going to bed, and it made me feel a little better. We should all have a cup of cocoa at 10pm CST and send out warm thoughts to each other.

It's 3 o'clock and I'm not at work! I came home early to meet the plumber -- he was on time and it only cost $48 since we already had the parts for the repair -- and now I won't know what to do with this free time.

It's very overcast here, sort of drizzly and foggy, and not too cold. Perspi and Mare can keep those single digit temps, thank you. :)

ARE YOU SURE YOU DO NOT WANT THEM?

Mine has recently come with a festive dumping of snow. And hey, we're up to 11 degrees!

34F. Kid is home from school again (may have a cold) and all my extremites are freezing cold and feel like they're ready to break off. Finally back to writing again although I can't make shortbread like I intended due to mysteriously missing butter. Am about to go and make north african stew (recipe in my LJ) and then write or start my mittens (this pattern (http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=11379505)).

You're only allowed to read Bronte novels if you own a chaise lounge to, um, lounge on while you read them. :)
