Cloudy, 71 degrees. Light breeze from the south southwest, although it's still supposed to turn around from the north sometime today. Weather guys say it's snowing in Nebraska -- mmmm, snow.

Things to do today, including ficly things. Didn't get much done yesterday -- ordered Christmas cards, dug out our voter registration cards so we can vote early, watered all the plants on the deck (and Chango helped).

Eh, all for now.

Yay, there's a cold front coming through! I have to dig my boots out from the back of the closet. And my husband brought back a wonderful houndstooth cashmere scarf from a business trip that I want to wear.

I early-voted yesterday. I didn't have to wait, but there were LOTS of people.

I think that I'm going to make a pan of Italian meatloaf this weekend for us to nosh on for the next week.

Ooooh, cashmere. I love cashmere. So soft. *g* I bought a pretty white-and-gray scarf at the woolen mill we visited in Prince Edward Island, but I think it's going to be December before it's really cold enough for me to wear that.

Italian meatloaf sounds delicious! I'm making a pot of chili tonight, in honor of the cold front. Hee.

Hello! How nice, for cool weather! YAY! It's 45-ish, here, and partly cloudy, so very fall-like weather. And Z had a very good drop-off today (no tears!) so I have hopes that she's finally starting to really settle into her new routine. (October was a month of crappiness for the whole Perspi family, but we're nearing the end!)

Today, it's...nothing much on the agenda! YAY! I am beginning to work my way through my massive pile of grading, and I'm continuing to show a video in class this week so that's EASY PEASY, thank heavens, and I'm unclenched just a little. My review meeting is next week, though, so I won't unclench all the way until maybe November...

*passes coffee*
*pets Chango for good helper-ness*

Aw, poor Z! That must be really hard on the both of you!

But yay for nothing much on the agenda! And yeah -- Chango looked pretty much like a drowned rat by the time we were finished. A 75-lb. drowned rat. Hee.

Oh, I hope you get to unclench soon, and remember how to breathe.

I'm ... not doing well with thinking of stuff to say right now. Had insomnia (the kind that follows starting a painting I'm excited about and then watching House) so didn't get to sleep until, I don't know, maybe 2:30 or 3.

Um. Going downstairs for more coffee in a moment. See if I can jump-start brain functions.

Hello! Oh, I'm sorry to hear about the insomnia--I know we were up late chatting about interesting things, and I'm hoping you enjoyed House??

MMMMmmmm, coffee....

Enjoyed most of it very much. Can Thirteen just die already, though? Or at the very least, can't she stay fired?

And HOORAY for someone finally telling the Boring Truth about Foreman.

Watching House's desperate attempts to re-establish his friendship with Wilson? Pure joy. He was so fidgety and uncomfortable and wary, and trying so hard with his affectionate prank, hoping so much that Wilson would retaliate so he'd know Wilson still loved him too.

Despite what a lot of people are saying about this being a pressing of the Reset Button, I didn't read it that way at all. I saw House and Wilson both knowing that they're on shaky ground and a lot of damage has been done. House's body language and expressions in the Sofa Scene were particularly telling, just like Wilson's repeated reassurances that "nothing's changed" when in fact, of course, they both know something has -- but they just don't know quite how yet, or whether it's a bad change or a good one.

It's sunny and 45 degrees here. Guess I should finally pull out my tomato plants.

We usually set out tomatoes and peppers (serranos) but we didn't this year. And the front has come through and the temperature's dropped about 15 degrees.

Once again, I'm seven hours late for morning coffee. It was a crazy work day. Corgiguy had the day off and stayed home to do battle with Satan's Own Telephone Co. He succeeded where I did not last night. :)

It's been sunny and a little chilly here. We're supposed to finally get some decent rain this weekend -- yah!
