Sunny and cool, very nice outside.

Lots of things to do today, including ficly stuff. Read over Creechville yesterday and did indeed find one plot-disconnect, but it can be easily fixed. Want to finish Candid Camera today (a ficlet) and try and figure out if it's all right.

Early voting starts today, so I need to do that this week.

Not much else right now, except that I feel all "bah humbug" this morning. More coffee is in order.

Coffee's being made, downstairs. Up here getting properly dressed whilst it brews.

I have to take The Night House and its companion, Blue Bird, to Bloomington Center for the Arts today, to enter in the juried show.

And look for work. And that's about it really. Breakfast. Breakfast would help.

*nods*

Breakfast usually does help.

And showing off your wonderful art is a good thing. *g*

Well -- I'll show it off if the judge accepts it. To date, I've never been accepted in a juried exhibit of this kind, so we'll see what happens.

Okay, now see? I had no idea that's how it worked. I thought from the name that juried art shows accepted everything, and then juries of selected artists judged the pieces.

:-)

Nope, a "juried" show means that one or more judges (one, in most cases) decides what gets in and what doesn't.

The Fighter Pilot piece (since sold to the director of ACT Gallery) and my little Lost Kingdoms both got rejected from the Alliance of the Arts show in Ft. Myers.

Artists learn not to take it personally. It's a crap shoot, one person's opinion on one day. Worth trying for, but not worth fretting about.

I have pretty much nothing planned (besides the basic showering and probably eating something and all that sort of thing one needs to do to survive) until 3PM, when I'm leaving here to go get my quarterly botox shots.(theraputic, like the mute guy in season 1.) I'm hoping he doesn't bench me for weeks like he did in july, during the 'let's paralyze your tendon so you'll eventually lose the recurring/chronic tendonitis' experiment that failed in an amazing fashion. One hopes.
(my rehab doctor is hilarious. he's nordic of some stripe or another, obsessed with theraputic botox, and kind of reminds me of dr. jekyll assuming dr. jekyll lived in Oslo instead of London.)
currently i have the blanket of cat-pacifying, one cat, and a boy to bring me coffee. we managed to not miss the kid's bus this morning. so far it's a good day.

Morning(ish), darling Nightdog!

You already know how my morning has been, because I see you've visited my own morning post. I am now awake from a little nap (Sonic-cat is very much a nursekitty this morning, as he's apparently convinced I'm here to be his pillow) and I'm about to try some soup for lunch. :)

I wish my state had early voting! (I also wish we didn't have to wait so damn long between election day and the actual inauguration of a new administration.)

Good afternoon! I missed morning coffee due to being out running errands: recycling, health food store for spelt flour, bank. Whew -- glad that's done.

It was flat cold this morning, in the 30s. My fingers turned into wee icicles hanging out laundry on the back porch.
