-- and it's not raining. The sun was actually out for a while but now it's got cloudy again so we may get a little more precip. I think we've had at least 7 or 8 inches over the past few days -- everyone's got mushrooms sprouting in their yards. Also saw a little green anole lizard lying in wait in our ficus tree (on our deck) last night -- he blended in just about perfectly with the green tree leaves as he looked for bugs.

Have to pick up husband's shirts and stop by grocery store. Not much else right now.

Oh, yes. Animals always remember what tastes good, and what makes it worse is that they have super-sensitive noses so they can sniff out even the faintest trace of whatever Good Thing you're opening.

Yes, I'm doomed, but half & half isn't that expensive, and if it helps get her weight up, I'll be happy.

Sylvie was never such a picky, spoiled creature in her youth. It's only now that she's joined the AARPets that she's become high-maintenance. I have to admit that there's a sense in which I love her for it, though; there are certainly plenty of crappy foods I won't eat, so I kind of relate.

Heh. Chango will eat just about anything except veggies (although we did used to have a dog who loved frozen green peas), but sometimes she will turn up her nose at a treat if she thinks she can get something better.

Plus she knows where on the kitchen island counter we keep her goodies, so on occasion she goes to that end and sits ("Look! I'm being good! I deserve a treat!").
