Warm and sunny -- for the next week the high temps are all supposed to be 98 or above.
Not sure what's up today ... get to start a new book, and it'll probably be Richard Price's Lush Life. Unless it's Indra Sinha's Animal's People. Or Stephen Fry's Moab Is My Washpot. Hee.
Happy birthday,
667! I hope you're having a great day.

Whuh. I don't know what my deal is this morning. Have eaten, had Coffee #1 (I drink low-octane these days, so there will be a Coffee #2 and probably #3 pretty soon) and ... still a zombie.
Never did get a photo of the Royal Blue
Pain in the ArsePeacock Dress. No camera batteries. It went over well at the shop, though, and I got paid on the spot, so, YAY.Gaaaaahhhh I'm so groggy.
*stumbles off for Coffee #2*
EDITED because lack of caffeine ---> html fail.

Date: 2008-07-12 05:25 pm (UTC)Z and I went to the grocery store today, and she was ready for her nap when we got home, so yay! The Mr went on a mechanical pencil buying spree, so I've got a couple new pencils. :) He also bought a lap desk and a mini mouse to go with the Tiny White Laptop, and I'm using it right now and it's really pretty nice.
And now we will have some lunch, if the Mr. ever goes and reheats it.
*is lazy*

Date: 2008-07-12 05:42 pm (UTC)Hey! Once I move, you and Nightdog and I will all be in the same time zone.
I'll be living on Central Time; it'll be weird; my whole life has been in Eastern Standard. Heh.
Getting ready, sort of, for an afternoon/evening with two of my old friends. So I'll be leaving here in ... not long. And who knows when I'll get back, except: late.
And then tomorrow I'm off to KENTUCKY for a WHOLE WEEK and you may not see me at all, depending if I have 'net access there, which I may not. I don't know.
I will be in SRS WITHDRAWWWWL by the time I get back to Florida, I can tell you that.

Date: 2008-07-12 05:55 pm (UTC)Oh! I thought I had mentioned this; it's a job with my friend M, painting a bunch of kids'-room murals.
She needed some help if they wanted it on the deadline they set, and the client said OK and bought me a ticket. So I'll be there tomorrow afternoon, and back on the night of the 19th.
I decided I needed the money more than I needed the extra time. Besides, my first out-of-state job ever! And it'll be fun. Except for the probably-not-having-access-to-LJ part.

Date: 2008-07-13 04:04 am (UTC)I was at her house this morning while she was reading failblog.org and tried to wake up on low-octane coffee. Heh, she managed to fake waking up to go meet with her friends, but she'll be just as zombie-like tomorrow when she tries to pack. LOL!

Date: 2008-07-12 06:22 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, I got up to find Charlie has Cystitis. Pills should kick in after a couple days, but the vet bill has eaten all my beer money for the b'day.
Sods law innit? Can't hold it against the poor lad.
