A much lot of nothing today. Read the new issues of Esquire and Newsweek and put other magazines in the bag for recycling.

Wanted to write but nobody's talking. That Future!fic thing is mumbling a little bit, but I can't figure out the scene. Frustrating.

Making spaghetti with sweet Italian sausage tonight. Zat's it for now.

nobody's talking

Yeah, I know. Maybe after nightfall.

Which Future!fic?

I got ... at least a few things done. Took the latest pile o'stuff to the thrift store; bought hay for horse; cleared out one of the big ugly white bookshelf units in my studio in preparation for getting rid of it.

Tested some paint colors for the dress I have to do, and avoided the Tax Stuff, again. Feverish again this afternoon.

Watched the Preakness and it was simply amazing. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like Big Brown.

Which Future!fic?

*smiles*

The one with that certain Guild in it. I know one place they go through on their journey west, but I don't know what happens there -- if they just pass through or if they have some significant interaction with the people, or what. And it's a scenario that I really like. So, gah.

I used to love to watch horseracing. Nowadays, though, I'm afraid I'll see a breakdown, so ... not so much anymore.

Sounds like you're making wonderful progress in divesting! Go, you!

I'm sure you can find a replay of the Preakness on the internet by now. No tragedies, no breakdowns, just an absolutely stunning win. Big Brown's jockey was busy holding him back for 3/4 of the race. I seriously can't recall ever seeing anything quite like it. It felt like a scene out of Seabiscuit or something.

I keep finding stuff I should have finished ages ago, like a couple of in-progress stories that now have moss growing on their north sides because I get distracted by shiny things. Yeesh.

Still suffering from allergies today, but I did some cooking, some laundry, and gave Corgiguy a haircut. It's a brave man who lets me attack his head with clippers while I'm buzzed on Sudafed. *g* Then we drove up into the mountains to see a friend and have supper with her and her boyfriend. She made tabouli with brown rice instead of wheat (because of Corgiguy's dietary restrictions) and it was the most delicious thing ever.

*nods*

I want to finish one of the stories that's been languishing for a while (like something from my Ficly Links list) but I just can't seem to get going. And in at least one case (Creechville), I even know the rest of the story and the epilogue. Grrr.

And you did a whole lot more than I did today! Hee!
