Have discovered why I have been feeling so oddly "off" the past few days. Apparently ... I have shingles. For God's sake. I HAD CHICKEN POX WHEN I WAS A LITTLE KID. WHY IS THE VIRUS STILL HERE? *INSERT LOTS OF REALLY BAD WORDS*

Gah. Gah gah gah. DO NOT WANT! DO NOT WANT VARICELLA-ZOSTER VIRUS, DO NOT WANT TO GO TO THE DOCTOR, DO NOT WANT!!! *THROWS UNSEEMLY TANTRUM*

*sigh* Okay, that's a little better. Poem coming up in a bit, and a Houseficlet later today.

Yes, there is (http://www.merck.com/mmpe/sec09/ch102/ch102e.html) (not for the squeamish - it's a bad case). I've seen many cases of shingles, but I also had the distinctly unpleasant experience of seeing my sister battle with it for months. To be honest, it turned my stomach a little. You shouldn't worry overmuch about it though. Shingles are usually content to stay where they are (so to speak). Just remember to pay a little more attention to your eyes.
