Grey and misty and very damp outside, 53 degrees.

Slept badly, blah blah, need coffee.

Here, sweetie. I've got a nice fresh pot of your favorite coffee, and I'll share as much as you need.

Wish it were 53 degrees here in Florida, but no -- it's going to be hot today.

I fell asleep with all the lights on last night. Whoops. Colored my hair this morning, in preparation for a "public appearance" this evening at the closing reception for that show. Over already. Heh. Well, not quite over, but in a few days.

Argh, coffee.

Yeah, that's about how coherent I am this morning.

Coloring your hair? *squints* Surely you don't need to do that at your age. You're a young whippersnapper!

Coloring your hair?

Oh, I've got a little gray going on, but that's not the main reason I dye my hair. I've been doing that -- not terribly consistently -- for years.

My hair grows in as a very dark ash brown, but the sun fades it. I like it better when it's the original, un-faded color, so I dye it.

It's about the same here, but it's pouring down rain. No yardwork or golf for the guys today.

I slept well, but have a Benedryl hangover. All those blasted ornamental pear trees are blooming and I'm allergic to them. Maybe the rain will knock a lot of the blooms off -- I hope.

We have a lot of Bradford pears here too. They're pretty, but I have to admit I prefer a fruit tree that actually bears fruit.

Heh.

I'm not allergic to real fruit trees, so it's whatever they crossed the pear with to create the hybrid that sets me off. I'm also allergic to the kind of blooming privet bush that grows wild here, so spring is nothing but one big "achoo" from beginning to end.

It's almost 3AM here. I just finished rewatching the entire of Six Feet Under season three. I am currently an emotional wreck.

Oh my God, Ticcy!

I don't think we ever saw the third season. I can't remember why -- either we were gone somewhere, or there was too long a gap between seasons and we lost interest, or it seemed like it had veered too far away from the Fishers ...

But it was an incredible series. It was groundbreaking, even for cable.

Ahoy!

I am currently hiding out at my office. I negotiated with the Mr. for some time away so I could get stuff finished for class next week. So. Back to the grind for me!

I'll be back online later today, and I'll have time for chatting... *pines*
