This appears to be a brand new interview with Hugh Laurie, by Robert Crampton of Times Online.
No spoilers for the show that I saw, although the interview does seem to confirm he's signed for seven years. Plus he quotes Marcus Aurelius. *g*

Date: 2008-03-28 10:44 pm (UTC)that's quite an expression he has in the photo that accompanies it, but I guess him comparing an interview to placing one's testicles on a chopping board would explain the expression!

Date: 2008-03-29 12:53 am (UTC)He sounded like he was on guard, especially at the beginning of the interview (the quote about Kenneth Branagh was awful but I did laugh at it) -- he really does sound like a well-spoken, very intelligent guy, very self-deprecating with a quick wit and lots of stories. One of those people who would be on my shortlist of perfect dinner guests.
Heh!
