Mr. Nightdog's cell phone rang at oh god'thirty this morning while he was in the shower. I thought at first it was plugged in in the kitchen, so first I stumbled went in there, then I realized it was on the dresser. By the time I got to it the tiny screen mocked me with 1 MISSED CALL. Gah. He called the person back (they were in London) but that was not particularly the way I wanted to get out of bed this morning.

Cool (61) and windy. Sunny though. Wind must be blowing something in; sinuses are burning and my throat is a little scratchy. Need to go to post office today.

Added it up yesterday -- have written 12,925 words on the Creechville fic and started what should be the fourth and final part. So ... onwards. Yeah.

Cool and cloudy here, like yesterday. It's very pleasant, especially when all I want to do is stay inside and write. Although I do need to buy some ink for my printer for tomorrow.

I was dreaming about holding a huge soft lop-eared rabbit when the alarm woke me up. Now that was a disappointment.

OK, I just downloaded an entire Regina Spektor album (thanks, fandom, for vastly expanding my music world) and "A Life Less Ordinary" by Carbon Leaf--solely because of that McShep vid. Fun!

And I just got our taxes done. I was musing as I left that it's so easy to go to a tax-prep place and it doesn't take much time to do it, so I'm pretty blase' about taxes. But the check I wrote for it means having somebody else do taxes is a real luxury and I was very thankful that we can afford it.

And yeah, we have a CPA do our taxes -- it's such a relief to not have to worry about it!

Gawd, but I wish it was Thursday. That way tomorrow would be Friday and the work week would be . . . over!

Corgiguy used to get tech support calls from his company's programmers in India at 3 a.m. Once when I answered the phone, I said, "You do realize it's 3 a.m. here?" and the voice on the other end merrily said, "Yes, I do." If only it were possible to strangle people from several continents away.
