nightdog_barks: Can of Maryland Club ground coffee (Coffee)

Thundershowers started rolling through at about 7 a.m., and now it's pleasantly cool (64 degrees) and just a bit drizzly. I do think it's supposed to rain some more though.

Not much else right at this moment except coffee.

it is gray and misty/rainy here. Bleh. And cold! like 35! double bleh!

I'm going to go have some more tea. And maybe some lunch.

Ew, 35 sounds horrid! The temp's been dropping here since this morning (it's now 57), and the local weather guys have gone into Full Panic Mode because OMG IT WILL NOT STOP RAINING!

Sheesh.

I might make some tea for myself today. I wonder if I still have any Lady Grey stashed away somewhere ...

You know what's cool, though? I just got an email from someone who wants to translate No Little Charity into Chinese. How cool is that?

WOW! That is way cool!

What a day-lifter!

Indeed!

I mean, what a project! To translate a couple thousand words, great. But they must have REALLY liked it to want to translate the whole 36,000 word thing! OMG!

And it's so cool to think I've gone truly international when I've been translated. Haven't you had a couple fics translated? I seem to remember you posting something along those lines...

[livejournal.com profile] purridot and [livejournal.com profile] rubberbutton translated the "imaginary correspondence" (the mental letters that James and Gregorius compose to one another) in Annals III into Latin.

Also, just recently someone asked if they could translate The Annals into Swedish -- I said go right ahead but I haven't seen anything ...

Ah, yes--I think it was the Swedish part that I'm remembering.

Anywho. It will probably take this kind person quite some time. I hope to have a link or something for my LJ when they're all finished.

Hey--did you see my rec over at [livejournal.com profile] gate_house? It is an awesomely funny read. I'm even going to prod Mare to go read it, because I think she'd love it, in spite of the little slashiness.

I did see your rec -- I thought it was a hilarious read! I really liked the giant rats and the Planet of the Gropers! Hee!

It was one of those fics that just makes you smile when you read it -- light and funny, with just the right amount of danger. Ronon was absolutely hysterical, although I have to admit "Ferdinand the Bull" was not the first thing I thought of when he said he wanted to wear some flowers in his hair.

So...what WAS the first thing you thought of?

*grins*

That '60s song -- was it by Peter, Paul, & Mary? -- the one about "Are you going to San Francisco / Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair ..."

Or something like that ... ah, here it is.

If You Are Going to San Francisco (http://www.lyricstime.com/mamas-and-the-papas-if-you-are-going-to-san-francisco-lyrics.html)

And it was sung by the Mamas and the Papas.
