Oh man, I know. I swear we have someone else's weather. So much rain. I think we passed the average August rainfall on like August 5. And we're still going strong! This is June weather, so weird.

Zulu put it exactly right - this is eastern weather we're having! It's so bizarre to read of places suffering drought when we're having non-stop rain.

I think you guys must have all our heat. It's been sunny here, but oh so cold, especially first thing in the morning (and in my office!). It hasn't rained for about a week which is nice but unheard-of for Britain!

I sympathize. Normally we're in the mid-30s (mid to high 90s) in July and August, and almost no rain after early July. Our climate is officially designated semi-arid, which is perfect for a cactus like me. :-) This summer we've struggled to reach 30, and it's been raining/storming almost every day. We actually have humidity. It's weird, and I don't like it.
