Really, you can just stop with the death shit any time now. I mean, really. >:-P

So anyway. Decided it would be a good day to make bread, so that's what we're doing. Mixed whole wheat with white, ten-grain, a quarter-cup of bulgur, sunflower seeds, blackstrap molasses for sweetness. :-)

I didn't know either of them, I don't remember ever meeting the cousin and I only met the friend's daughter once, but I care about people who cared about them. All this death!

I heard about Sir Alan Rickman's passing on the radio. Such a loss! Oddly, while I've seen him in a variety of roles and admired his acting, I don't tend to think of his face. For me his name is most strongly associated with his voice. His delivery was always magnificent.

Yeah, yesterday's news I double- and triple-checked because I thought, this close together, same age, same disease, that's got to be a hoax. Sadly, it wasn't. Also, while his Harry Potter role probably made him the most famous, I found that it was pretty low on the list of things that came to mind when I thought about what I'd seen him in. Which was quite a lot, I was almost surprised to realize. Did you read Emma Thompson's obituary? It was rather lovely I thought.

Heh, I always have to remind myself that he was in Die Hard, even though I've seen that movie many times. Truly Madly Deeply was new to me but I found it on youtube and watched it yesterday, as well as all the pissy!Metatron scenes from Dogma, because he was the best thing about that movie and made me laugh a lot. The one thing I actually own is Snow Cake, really loved him in that, but hadn't watched it in a while.
