Heh. So much state and national news I'm worn out.

No kidding. It's been like whiplash.

I'm working on the doggie portrait and will be around all evening because of that. I take lots of breaks, though -- I get better art that way -- so writing will probably happen, too.

Yeah, I have a couple of things to do around the house and then I'll copy that thing up. :D

I've finally started reading some of Rilke's poems.

Oh, I love some of Rilke's poems! Especially the one about stars and stones, which I don't have time to look up right now. *g*

I'm trying to learn how to bake bread, actual yeast bread that rises. I don't have a processor or anything so I have to do it by hand.

We don't have any kind of a stand mixer or a bread machine either. We do it all by hand. I think it takes us, on average, about three to four hours from start to baked loaves of bread. :D

I was worried for the longest time about killing the yeast until I realized that unless you're using REALLY HOT WATER, the yeast won't give a fuck. ;-)
