Sunny and cool on a very quiet Sunday. Watching the 'Hawks/Wild game and am tickled by the fact that one of the Wild players is named Cal Clutterbuck.

Have been reading Joe Hill's NOS4A2, and so far (about eighty or so pages in) it is TERRIFIC. He certainly has his dad's touch. :D

That's a good name! At the Women's Centre last week I dealt with a woman whose child is named Miracle Buffalo. Buffalo isn't the last name of the family, just this boy, so I don't know if he's adopted or if his parents just think he's a Miracle Buffalo.
I just got back from the annual river valley clean-up. We found a lot of plastic bags, some beer cans, and a couple of tennis balls.

I met a fascinating little African-American lady at the hair salon two weeks ago whose name was Lollipop Bright. She showed us her driver's license and said the wife of her cousin, Fats Domino, had named her Lollipop because she loved them so much.

She's 70 years old, had a wealth of stories about New Orleans, and kept all of us entertained while she was getting highlights put in her hair. :)
