Watched The Avengers last night on one of the movie channels. It was the first time I'd seen it, and oh my god I LOVED IT. So much fun and silliness and Evil and Heroes and Manly Flesh on display. I would watch it again. I would've paid money to see it in a theatre. I may buy the DVD.

I am really glad the BBC explained what a flapjack was in this story, because to me this is a flapjack, and if you threw one at someone it would just sort of go splat and then flop onto the floor.

I keep forgetting that next month is National Poetry Month, and it's almost here.

I WANT TO SEE IT. Must rent on Amazon.com... I really liked Thor, and I thought that was ridiculous, so I might really love this one.

Isn't this year speeding by? Well, all except for WINTER. lajd;f;jiuojklk :(

Did they explain what British people call biscuits, given that that's the term they use for cookies?

Hi! Sorry I haven't been around.

I love The Avengers. Someday, I want my resume to read "Genius, Playboy, Billionaire, Philanthropist"

…well, maybe not the Playboy. What's the female equivalent of that?

WHAT?!

Are you telling me there is a double-standard when it concerns men and women and sex?
LIES! LIES I TELL YOU!

Okay, so I had to read that article three times and check the date twice to be sure we hadn't got to the 1st April with no one telling me.

I had no idea that flapjacks were different over there! So confusing :S I don't think we have an equivalent of your biscuits - scones are probably closest, but they're not the same.

Of course in the last 10 years in Britain, lots of 'cookie' places have sprung up, so we now use the word a lot, but to mean a very specific type of baked goods (normally larger, flatter, with pieces of something in, and chewy rather than crunchy). I suppose if you over cooked it, you could use it as a throwing disc and the school would have to ban those too...
