Date: 2013-03-26 10:39 am (UTC)I had no idea that flapjacks were different over there! So confusing :S I don't think we have an equivalent of your biscuits - scones are probably closest, but they're not the same.
Of course in the last 10 years in Britain, lots of 'cookie' places have sprung up, so we now use the word a lot, but to mean a very specific type of baked goods (normally larger, flatter, with pieces of something in, and chewy rather than crunchy). I suppose if you over cooked it, you could use it as a throwing disc and the school would have to ban those too...
