Cool and dark and very damp, which is only reasonable because we're supposed to get rained on tonight. Reading Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl and enjoying it greatly.
There are days when I would welcome 27 inches of snow. I have yet to get the snowblower running this year so that would mean at least two days away from the office! Might actually get some work done without the distraction of the other office dwellers wanting something.
I can't even imagine 27 inches of snow! The most I've seen was about nine or ten inches in Michigan, and it was amazing and beautiful. But 27 inches ... yikes.
So glad to hear that you liked Gone Girl! So far I am delighted with it. :D
I have heard very good things about that book. I've got it on my wish list but A) have a ton of books already that I need to read. And B) I am too cheap to pay full price so am waiting for it to drop or find at a garage sale cheap. Unfortunately not too many garage sales in these part at this time of year.
Everytime I'm in a depressed mood I feel that books are very comforting, too. But I specially love the atmosphere in the old bookstores.
I'm starting to read a novel of Philip K. Dick, an author that I've known for ages but never really read anything from him, it's 'The Man in the High Castle', and so far I'm loving it. For some reason, it makes me think about your Letters of Transit, maybe it's the whole alternate reality set up, the infinity ways in what our lives could have been. Fascinating stuff!
