I baked cookies today. Which was something of a personal achievement, as I'd never baked cookies before. *g* I don't know why -- my mom used to make chocolate chip cookies all the time. I'd just never tried it. So I used this recipe (for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies) that I'd seen Tumblr'd by
hannahrorlove, although I followed the comments and added more spices (ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cardamom) and left out the second cup of chocolate chips and all of the chopped walnuts. By the second batch I'd learned I needed to squish them down a little with the back of the spoon. Heh.
But they're good! And I learned a lot. Go me. :D

Date: 2012-10-18 12:52 am (UTC)I was in a mild argument the other day with someone who insisted to me that when they made pumpkin pie, it was the same texture as their lemon chiffon or French silk pies.
I am willing to believe this only if something has gone badly wrong with their French silk and lemon chiffon.
