So the Death and the Civil War episode of American Experience was really good, although I gotta admit it was also REALLY SLOW. But! I got to hear RSL read excerpts from at least four or five letters of the era, so it was all good. I had a particularly Uncanny Valley/meta moment when he read a portion of a letter that I had used for a Civil War AU, about Wilson. :D

Beautiful, sunny day. Must run a few errands.

TOPAZ, IT WAS SO WEIRD. *g* Seriously, I'm watching the show, and RSL is reading, and I'm like, "Wait, that's directly from Drew Gilpin Faust's book! That's one of the letters I used!"

It was creepy. But fun! And creepy, because RSL/Wilson, and Wilson/RSL, and History! :D
