ZOMG I love these guys. They make me smile, as does this story from the BBC about a Canadian senator who wants to change the national emblem to a polar bear, and describes the current symbol, the beaver, as a dentally defective rat. :-D

(reads article, groans) The beaver is our symbol because the country was founde on the fur trade. Besides, I like that our national symbol is a big buck-toothed rodent. While everyone else is standing around looking fierce we're just quietly building things. Destructive? Fuck it, the beaver was here first. We're encroaching on their territory, not the other way around.
I love polar bears, but they're going extinct. Besides, Russia has a bear as its symbol already.

Thank you for the lovely vid, I didn't know them at all! And I don't see the problem with either animal, after all France has a chicken (at least that's what we learn in Italy, LOL - I think it's supposed to be a rooster).
