Sunny and hot, ran a few errands -- 105 degrees, yee haw. It was good to get out, though.

What else? Chango is in the process of blowing her coat, which means she pants happily as you brush out giant clumps of underfur that, unless you grab them quickly, float away in the air and end up god knows where.

It's hot here, but it gets cool at night. I open the windows at night and close them during the day, so it stays relatively cool inside.
Right now I'm trying to get ahold of my sister, who was fired today from a job she had for 19 years. She didn't do anything wrong, but the company is being sued and they needed a scapegoat.

I know what you're talking about, though. Back in the day a co-worker of mine lost her job because she'd followed her manager's directions and produced a document that was filled with wrong data. It was her manager's fault, not my co-worker's, but of course it was the latter who got fired.

I just talked to her. She thinks she's unemployable now and said she's never felt like such a failure.

Cyrus is also blowing coat. This summer was sufficiently odd that he didn't shed his winter coat properly, and has been looking shabby in consequence. I'll be relieved when the hair blizzard is over, but doubly relieved to see better condition on his coat.

Chango sheds lightly pretty much year-round, but ye gods, in the fall she becomes a walking fur farm. She looks very ragged right now -- I'm very glad we have a good brush to get that undercoat out. It's so soft and downy. *g*
