Warm, humid. Still reading the first volume of Simon Callow's biography of Orson Welles so that I can catch up to the second.

In much more awesome news, [personal profile] deelaundry has written a sequel to my fic These Crimes Between Us! It is just wonderful, spinning off a tangential mention of a character and carrying the original story forward in the most unexpected of ways. If you choose to read These Crimes Between Us first, be sure to note the warnings and tags -- it is not a walk in the park. Dee's story is rated R. Did I mention it was wonderful? It's Until a Quieter Time. :-D

And another rec, from [livejournal.com profile] stenveny -- five years after the Season 7 finale, a search for a new Dean of Medicine brings an unusual candidate in Called. You guys know I love a good Original Character, and here's one that's a real standout. She's that one thing that a good OC should always be, and that's interesting. I want to know more about this character, I want to know where she lives, what she has for breakfast, what's the first thing she sees when she opens her eyes in the morning. As I told Stenveny, I would happily read a whole series about this character, and I would love to see more of this fascinating ficverse.

All I've got for now -- hope folks are having a good Thursday.

It's humid and overcast and cool and gray outside, and it's June. It's about enough to make me want to cry.

On the plus side, I managed to do the bulk of the collation needed for another batch of cover letters, I'll do some writing tonight, Team Fortress 2 is free to download this week, and I'll drag myself to the gym in a little while.

It'd be fine if it was November, Australia, or San Francisco. As it is, today was a non-energy day. I've gone to the gym and cooked, but I've had very little in the way of stiumulation. I should read some Raymond Carver or something.

And YOU should take fifteen minutes to watch these few short videos, because I think those are people you'd really like playing with.

The Sniper's probably my favorite. "Professionals have standards."

Hi Nightdog!! I'm here but I'm getting some paid alterations done today. I'm such a slow-poke at everything anymore. It's taking me three hours to hem 4 pairs of slacks and take in 2 pair. :•\

Being so slow is truly annoying, but I AM thankful I can still do everything even so. :)

How's your day been going?

Well, yeah, but 'sometimes slow' being the operative words here. Lol!

Yayy, for quiet days! Mine was too and I just finished the sewing. Whew...tired shoulders.
Have a great night hon. I'll be posting photos tomorrow sometime. :)

We had a tremendous storm last night and I don't think the sun has shone all day. It's not too hot but very humid and gray.

Work was not too busy today, which is good because I felt awful most of the morning and wound up lying on the meeting room sofa for a while. Steroids knock me for a loop -- blech.
