Warm and humid, trying to cloud up. Baking a poundcake to go with the last of the fresh strawberries. Used plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. :-D

Sounds like a wonderful idea, and now I am wanting some of the Greek yogurt I bought yesterday.

I've found Roger Ebert's narration on the special features of the Dark City disk, and it's pretty interesting to hear from someone who has seriously studied movies.

It's clouded up here and threatening to rain. I just brought Martha back from the vetrinary hospital where she's been since Friday morning. They couldn't find any cause for her illness so they're calling it a "dietary indiscretion", meaning they're assuming she ate something she shouldn't have. I thought she'd run and hide under the bed as soon as she got home but instead she's wandering around the apartment, still sporting a hot pink bandage where her IV was.

It's threatening to rain here too. There's a line of storms to the west which will probably make it here a bit later.

Poor Martha! Although I gotta say I'll bet she's cute with that hot pink bandage. *g*

Poor Martha indeed, the poor little thing has gone through a lot in her short life. She is cute with the bandage. Everyone at the hospital gushed over her, telling me how great she is.

I'm so glad she's okay. I know just enough about veterinary medicine to be dangerous know that "blocked cat" is a Red Alert Term. Very relieved that it turned out not to apply.

They gave me four days of antacids and some special food for her digestion, but I'll worry until I see her move her bowels.

Ooh, poundcake sounds so good! My sweet tooth has been plaguing me today and there's nothing sweet in the house.

It poufed up more than I thought it would! Mr. N was in charge of the baking soda, and I think he may have added more than the "pinch" the recipe called for. *g*

I had thought about buying shortcake, but I wanted to make something fresh, and since we had that other little tub of Greek yogurt ...
