UGH IT IS WARM AND HUMID. Swept the kitchen floor (Chango helped, but only a little). Roasting some leg of lamb tonight; looking forward to watching Doc Martin on PBS. Will probably also watch the new Doctor Who -- I'm probably one of the three people on the planet who have never seen an entire episode. I did watch some of The Waters of Mars and The End of Time last night, but I had the sound off (Mr. N was sleeping) and so all I really came away with was thinking the Master was pretty damn hot. Which ... is probably all kinds of wrong. :-D

Also posted this very late last night -- Robert Sean Leonard fans who would like to see some clips of him in a preview production of Born Yesterday should click. *g*

I have not seen the new incarnation of the Master, but he used to be pretty hot back in the day, too. If it's wrong to think so, you're as wrong as, say, 80% of the fandom, from what I've gathered.

He used to be played by Roger Delgado and then, after Delgado died in a car accident, Anthony Ainley. Both were tall, dark, handsome, and elegantly menacing.

Make that four (sheepish).
I finally went and had my blood drawn for my regular thyroid test. When I remarked on how good the tech was at it he replied that he was an anesthesiologist in his own country (Nigeria) before coming here.
I need to sweep my floor too. I'll go do that... soon.

You know that there's a new Doctor now, right? I really like him. (Matt Smith.) He brings a good combination of slightly wacky, old soul in a young body combination. Plus his current traveling companions (Amy Pond and her newlywed husband Rory) are an interesting combo. And in River Song, who is a mystery out of both the Doctors' past and his future, there's a kickass older female.

Someone who's already seen the episode said that it's kind of confusing at parts, but it's supposed to be, and to stick with it. So I guess I'd say to just sort of roll with it and see what you get.

A good intro to the current package (River Song is a recurring guest) is here from the season finale last year. "Hi Honey, I'm Home.

I'm not a Who fanatic, but I did see a couple of New Doctor episodes and enjoyed them, mostly because I really like River Song. Alex Kingston kicks ass in that role! :)
