Much cooler, but THANK GOD the wind from hell has died down. Bright sun and blue skies today.

In the Okay, I Find This Funny category ... I've been uploading my fics to the Archive of Our Own, starting at the beginning and going forward. I'm almost finished with 2006 (and wow, some of my early stories were bad, chiclets) -- I uploaded 33 fics last night, and this morning, which ones have hits? Yep, the PORNY ONES. Made me smile, for real. Oh, fandom, never change. *g*

It's consistent throughout history that when there's some new technology or alternative method to distribute content, porn is inevitable, and usually the first thing on there.

When someone writes the definitive history of the Top 100 Things About Internet Fandom in about 100 years' time, the first 99 of them will be porn. *g*

Also women probably didn't have souls, and at best we were supposed to tolerate sex.

The modern age has more than its share of problems, but I don't think I'd trade it.

I caught the very end of that movie on TV once, not knowing what it was. I recognized Stephen Fry and I remember Mybug talking to a young woman with whom he had apparently decided he was in love. She didn't fall for it, and I recall there being something about an airplane but it's a bit fuzzy.

Sun? What's that? It's snowing AGAIN.
I don't remember you ever writing a bad story!

(snickers) Did you ever refer to Chase as "the blonde"? For some reason that's the cliche that always drives me insane, even if "blond" is spelled correctly (which it NEVER is). Even references to Foreman as "the black doctor" don't make me gnash my teeth as much as "the blonde doctor".
But those who can, write, those who can't, critique!

Yes, but those are mistakes within what are otherwise pretty compelling little pieces of writing. You had some potholes; it didn't make the journey less interesting, just bumped and jostled a bit on the way.

If it bugs you, you can always correct those and, if you feel the need for full disclosure, add a note about having edited some of the mistakes that were glaring at you.

Today was clear and chilly. Miss V. and I went to the city west of here for a shopping trip and had a grand time, and then I spent the afternoon repairing the upstairs window with some wood I got on the trip. Corgiguy's so used to me making a racket fixing stuff that he didn't even ask what was happening with the sound of chiseling, sawing and hammering going on over his head. :P
