Warm and mostly sunny, a bit more humid. On the road this morning, driving Mr. N back from a doctor's appointment 30 miles away. If I tell you it was at an endoscopy clinic, I'll bet you can guess why I had to be the chauffeur. Heh, the miracles of propofol and Versed. Anyway, he's fine.

Very interesting interview with Robert Sean Leonard here. Take the headline with a grain of salt, but still, very interesting. To be honest, to me the interview isn't very spoilery to anyone who's been following this season, but. If you are concerned about spoilers, don't read the interview. Credit to What_box? over at HHoW, which is where I first saw this (although now it's on house_wilson and rsl_daily as well (on LJ).

Also ... man arrested for barking at police dog. His excuse? The dog started it. :-D

To me, the whole RSL interview (coupled with the fact that GY re-tweeted the link) feels like it's all about the actors and the show trying to put pressure on the negotiators to get things settled already and stop jerking them around.

That said, I'm not going to be surprised if the final Fox/NBC deal calls for two shorter seasons to wrap things up, similar to what they did with "Lost" for its last two seasons.

Did Mr. Nightdog enjoy all the pretty colors passing outside the car window? :D

Wow, RSL. I don't know what to think about the show any more, but I'm glad he's getting to do theatre again. And it tickles me that he and Gabby are so frugal. We've always joked about him showing up at photo ops in a slightly shabby blazer, and now we know why. &hearts

It's just one more thing to love about RSL. :)

I always wake up lucid and ready to go after a procedure, but Corgiguy is a whole different story. He talks about strange things and sees stuff that's not there. It's entertaining in an unsettling kind of way. :D

I thought negotiations were still ongoing; nice to have that confirmed, at least.

I'm torn on this. It'd be nice if the show were renewed, but at the same time I kinda don't want it to be. Creatively, what else can the writers cover that hasn't been done? Plus, financially, House is in the same boat as 24 was in its final season: older show, falling ratings, expensive to produce upfront. It's no wonder FOX has been balking at taking over production from NBC/Universal. Just have to wait, I guess.

Nice to know I'm not alone.

I'll watch if they renew it, but it's about time to put it to bed, IMO. If they'd played things out differently, establishing a universe in which people could and did change, I think we'd still have places to go, but as it is they are running in circles.

I'm having a lot more fun in our AUs.

I feel that way too. They could end it with the season 7 finale and I'd be okay with it.

I really wish we had a confirmation one way or another. If S7 is the last, it will be a sad way to end the series. At the same time, I do not think that the series could handle another 22 running-in-place episodes. My ideal scenario would be a final, short S8, maybe 10-13 episodes to be aired next year.

So that they could close whatever needs closing, have RSL finish his theater stint, maybe have TBTB put it together enough to send the show off on a high note.

I love RSL position that he loves money "very. very much". I truly enjoy his interviews.
