Sun is trying to struggle through the grey, so that's a good thing. Still fairly cold and damp, though, at 43 degrees (6.1 degrees Celsius) and 93% humidity. The breeze has turned around out of the south, which means it should warm up a bit over the next couple of days. Lots of birds at the feeders, including a downy woodpecker, a red-bellied woodpecker, chickadees, goldfinches, and what might have been a yellow warbler.

ETA that for fans of Law & Order: UK (me!), there was a nice little (9 minutes) interview this morning on NPR with Jamie Bamber and Bradley Walsh. You can listen to it here -- it's interesting to hear them talk about their lives in entertainment before L&O and how they film with small crews on the streets of London.

I am being profoundly lazy, and need to make myself something to eat. The tiredness may in part be lack of food.

<3 all your birds.

Eeehhh! Woodpeckers! We have one or two that visit our feeders very occasionally. (Would have more visits if we still put out suet, but it attracted rats, so we don't.)

I've been shoveling and salting the sidewalk and steps up to the back porch, and Corgiguy just muscled the old washer out there while we wait for Sears to show up with the new one. Since we haven't been able to do laundry for eight days, Mount Washmore has grown to dizzying heights and we're all wearing the Dreaded Back of the Drawer underpants, the ones you hope not to ever have on if you're hit by a bus. :D

You're not the only fan of L&O-UK. I think I've watched all of them that have been on BBC America. The show reminds me very strongly of the early years of the original. As it's supposed to do I guess.
