Went to the grocery store today and LIVED TO TELL THE TALE. Heh. We needed just a few things -- milk, cream, bread, etc., and amazingly enough the store wasn't too crazy. The parking lot was a little nuts, but they had extra checkers inside and I got in and out relatively quickly. I did see a few people buying turkeys -- hope they were fresh because they may not be totally thawed by tomorrow. Making a small pork roast tonight -- it really feels like Friday.

Weather guys predicting cold front will be here by tomorrow morning. Hope so; it was weird having to turn on my AC while I was out.

Happy to report that it is no longer snowing like a sumbitch out there.

I probably have another hour or so before heading home. Will have a couple photos from site today.

I managed to remember everything when I was at the store yesterday so I didn't have to go. The parking lot at the Walmart I pass on the highway going home was absolutely jammed. The only open spots I saw were at the far end of the lot and there were only a couple of open spots there. Am SO glad I didn't have to stop.

You are a brave, brave woman. After last year, I swore no power on earth could compel me to go to the grocery store ever again on the day before Thanksgiving.

Corgiguy and I went out tonight for Mexican food and Refreshing Adult Beverages and there were at least two extended families having dinner there. One had so many people they took up every table across the length of the restaurant. I wonder if that was their holiday meal?

Our favorite place does the best shrimp quesadillas and fish tacos. Actually, I've never had a bad meal there no matter what we order, but those two items are what I like best.

Sure, rub in the good temperatures. :D

Actually I can't complain too much. -26C this morning gave way to -18C now. It should get even warmer tomorrow, around -10C. Balmy!

Heh, I read your post and was puzzled as to why the store would be crazy, then I remembered that tomorrow is your Thanksgiving. Ours was six weeks ago. It's funny to think of you all celebrating Thanksgiving when the weather is so Christmasy here.
