Just for the record, I signed into Dreamwidth this morning before Livejournal ... and the world didn't end. :-)
Hazy sun and warm -- 84 degrees (28.9 Celsius) with a light breeze out of the south. Restless night, lots of broken sleep. Stayed up too late to begin with, watching live coverage of the San Bruno fire in northern California. The Los Angeles Times has an incredible photo gallery of the disaster here.
Still reading Pearl Buck in China ... need to get out and pick up a few things today. And ... that's all I got right now.

Date: 2010-09-10 05:25 pm (UTC)We're having a dreadfully slothful day around here and have accomplished nothing except feeding the critters and ourselves.

Date: 2010-09-10 05:29 pm (UTC)I'd been resisting in a way, but this is getting to be more and more like home.
And yeah, I've done nothing worth noting yet.

Date: 2010-09-10 06:00 pm (UTC)And that's about it so far today.
I work 5 to 8:30. Stupid short shift. Should leave early, avoid the traffic, buy some shower curtain rings at Tuesday Morning before work. Because my new shower curtain arrived, and it is very happy-making, but has no rings.

Date: 2010-09-10 06:04 pm (UTC)I've done little of note this morning, but it's been lovely so far--very relaxing, at least. Redoing links in my LJ is a lot of farking work, so I'm very tempted to delete the whole thing with a single post left to direct to my fic index on DW.
Then again, with comments disabled on my LJ, and the only thing left there as fic, I should be OK. I don't want to break people's links, if I can help it. Damn it.

Date: 2010-09-10 06:13 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'm still in kind of a quandary as to what to do with my LJ. I believe all of my fic is in nightdog_writes, house_wilson, and housefic, but I think some folks have linked to what's in nightdog_barks and I don't want to close that off entirely.

Date: 2010-09-10 06:28 pm (UTC)I really need to get away from the LJ fuckery, and get something useful done--I need to finish my approved events list, for one. And maybe get going on some other stuff.
...perhaps some coffee will help?

Date: 2010-09-10 06:20 pm (UTC)I don't even want to deal with LJ fuckery. I'm keeping a close eye on my Facebook; the only fandom person I'm friends with on there is Mare, and somehow I doubt she's going to be like HI GUISE LEMME LINK U 2 BEFF'S LIVEJOURNAL!
Still, ugh.
Lol, I joined the ASU Slam Poetry team, and our first performance is tonight. I don't even know what I'm doing because I've like never performed slam in my life, so it should be interesting.

Date: 2010-09-10 06:30 pm (UTC)That is so cool, the Slam Poetry Team! Go, you! And yes, it's understandable to have some anxiety, but I am fully confident that you will be Awesome. :)
(And even if you're not, we love you anyway.) (Um, that didn't sound right. But the sentiment is there.)

Date: 2010-09-10 06:15 pm (UTC)(And in the light of Mare's recent post, I'm even more glad that there is an alternative to LJ. But the move was rather easy for me of course, not having such a long history over there like some of you.)
