It snowed a couple of inches, I think, but it's starting to melt already even though it is still friggin' cold outside. It's 37 degrees (2.7 C), which isn't that bad, but the wind is blasting out of the west northwest to give us a wind chill of 24 (-4.4). Erk. So I took a few photos, but I didn't want to venture out on the deck.

Green grass had started to come up.

Wanted to get a better shot of Chango, but she wouldn't hold still.

Not sure how well this will come out -- neighbor's plum tree in bloom.

Ohhhh, pretty!

After a somewhat restless night, I am now showered, dressed, and in need of food and coffee. Very sunny here today, but I'm not sure about the temp outside.

*checks*

WCCO says 37 currently, w/high of 52. :-)

Sun is trying to come out here but it's still mostly cloudy. The high today is supposed to be 42, but I don't know if it's going to make it since it's dropped a degree and is now 36.

... and there's the sun. Heh.

I can't believe it's still snowing there! We usually have similar weather :-)

I love the blooming plum tree, defying the winter around it. I wish it luck.

*g* This is definitely not our usual weather!

The plum tree should actually be okay -- it's really only dropped to about 30 degrees last night. I think growing things will get wind-burned, though.

Green grass! (Yes, I know there's snow and for you that's the point. For me I look at this photo and say "Green grass! Plum blossoms!" :D) Hopefully the growing things aren't damaged by the inclement weather.

Heh -- the blooming trees are particularly pretty. The Bradford pears, redbuds, and plums are all flowering. I think they might get wind-burned, but it hasn't really dropped below freezing.

Oooh, blossoms! I bet those would make for some great close-ups with the snow resting on top of them.

I thought the exact same thing, but alas, it was too windy for any of the snow to settle on the blooms (and stay there).

Chango's a snow dog! That is quite pretty with the plum blossoms in the snow.

It's a little chilly and drizzly today, but that'll be good for all the new grass seed the guys put down yesterday.

She was happy to go out today! Yesterday she was nervous all day -- I had to make her go out, but today she's fine. Silly dog. I just wish the wind would stop blowing.

Chango's so cute! I just wanna pet her ears! :)

Poor Bailey loves snow but doesn't get to romp around in it too often in these parts. Send some cool weather our way?

Chango would love it if you petted her ears! As a matter of fact, she'd lean against your legs and want more. Heh.

It's snowing furiously here too, which is to be expected because I made an appointment to take the snow tires off my car tomorrow.

SUnny and clear here; about 60 degrees. We got no snow here, and I'm kinda glad of it. It did get down to the mid-30s last night, so after getting back from the movies (Crazy Heart finally, which we liked, but not as much as A Single Man) the hubs and I cuddled on the couch and watched TV.

I will be glad when the weather stabilizes some. I like the warm-not-hot weather we get for a month before the blast furnace.

It seemed like we were just about to get that warm-not-hot weather, too. And then the North Pole decided to pay a visit. It's still blowing like crazy here -- ugh!

Alas, it's not quite so blooming here at home.

The angle shot of the snowy bird feeders is awesome.

I can just imagine them swinging back and forth caked in snow. :)
