Gray and rainy -- weather guys said it would be here by this morning's rush hour, but it's just now started. Dog jumped up and growled ferociously (at the rain, yes) and then hid in her den. Heh. 57 degrees (13.88 Celsius).
The sun's coming out, although there's still a chance of rain later today. I'm trying to work up motivation to leave the house or do some research. Maybe both.
Oh, the little guys can be so adorable! Although sometimes it's really hard to i.d. them -- the little finches and warblers we get this time of year can look a lot alike.
Most of the reason I want to go out for lunch is that I've never been good at motivating myself to start things during the day - I can continue on a project, but beginning things comes more easily at night, and I'd rather be outside where it's sunny. So I might go for an early lunch and then do some other non-school errands, which can wait a couple more days.
Yeah, not much going on here either. I need to fold the laundry from yesterday and do some other housely stuff. Chango is outside in the rain, so she'll be all wet and stinky when she comes in.
It's warm and sunny today. The first patch of daffodils with their bonny yellow blossoms is blooming up the road a ways. Maybe this is the end of the endless winter? :D
I have been out clothes shopping with my trusty 15 percent off on Mondays card at Beall's Outlet and came home with four shirts/blouses suitable for work and a very cute purse, all of which were on clearance.
It's still showery here. I saw some daffodils or jonquils yesterday when I went to the store ... I haven't seen any forsythia or japonica bushes* in bloom yet, though.
We have a Beall's close by, but no outlet. It's a very nice store!
*Hm, which now that I Google it, is apparently really Japanese quince.
I've never been in a real Beall's, so for a long time I thought it was strictly an outlet chain. :) Most of my work clothes come from there because I can find blouses with a decent neckline that don't make me look a hundred and ten years old.
We have the red flowering quince here, which is so cheerful in the spring. It should start blooming next.
Gray, gray, gray up here today, though I think I see the overcast thinning a little now.
FINISHED that furniture painting job; posted photos; answered an unexpected inquiry about doing some painting in a kid's room; now I must be on my way to the next appointment. I look forward to slowing down and taking a breath tonight.
Also, I keep thinking there was some show or other I meant to watch.
