Cloudy but still warm at 64 degrees (17.77 C). Chango is sitting at the back door, watching a woodpecker drum on a tree.

Not much else right now.

Good morning! The weather here has been unusually warm, which means highs of 6 to 11'C. We're set up to measure the snowmelt but although the snow has gone down a lot we haven't seen water in our weirs yet. It should happen any time now.
My plans for the weekend are a shift at the crisis line, chores around the house, some reading. The usual boring stuff.

Heh, I think the most exciting thing I will do today is make some banana bread. STAND BACK!

I'll need to clean up the kitchen first ...

Doesn't that always make you *less* willing to do stuff? When you have to clean first? ARGH. Heh.

In my news: I got two GIANTEST binder clips to hold the papers I need to finish grading. So, including the papers, the exams, and the recently-turned-in stats assignments, my folders for each of my two sections of research methods are...almost three inches thick. GAH.

I'm going to do a list post. It's a way of procrastinating... *g*

I use a giant blue plastic clip on the dog food bag.

... what? No, I haven't done anything in the kitchen yet.

;-)

Hello!

I've been out on errand-running today (and have spent plenty of money to last my week, thankyouverymuch), but the groceries have been procured, and that's the important thing. Now I've had a little nap, and I'm about to start on some grading, so I'm thinking I should put up a rare weekend list-post, just for the heck of it. :)

It's getting warm here, too! The birds are singing, and flocks of Canadian geese have been honking! Today the high is supposed to be 43--and we may hit a high of 50 by the end of the week! SPRING!!!

Hi there! All I've really done so far today is refill the bird feeders (Chango helped, MUCH) and read a little bit more of The Possessed. Lots of housely stuff to be done, but I am balking.

And now it's 67 here! But it's supposed to rain tomorrow and Monday, boo.

I'm late-late-late as usual. Home now from the Big City -- the workshops were great -- and I've had hot bath and allergy medicine and am feeling much better. Miss V., bless her slobby heart, apparently has NEVER cleaned the inside of her car in the past decade and I thought the dust and God knows what else would kill me riding around in it.

Yay for being home! And yay for good workshops! Sometimes those things turn out to be mind-numbingly awful. Erk.

So. I was at work until five, then went directly to Kelly's, where I had some much-needed wine and some yummy noodles with chicken curry, and was made to watch Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, which? If you've ever thought about it? Spare yourself: it is astoundingly awful, which is the entire reason Kelly made me see it.

Finally home, and happy to be here.

Heh. I've read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (years and years ago) -- I didn't know they made a movie of it.

Had wondered where you were tonight. *g*

Oh, honey, it was a BAD MOVIE. We had to cleanse the palate by watching the second episode of Deadwood, because Ian McShane makes everything better. Even though his character in that show is pretty much a less-refined, out-West version of Teddy Bass.

Ian McShane is always awesome. Trufax.

Kelly agrees, having recently discovered the awesomeness, and now wants to see Sexy Beast.

*G*

Back in a few minutes; need quick shower. :-P

ETA back now, and feeling ever so much better.
