More bright sun and a very cool 50 degrees (an even 10 Celsius). Nice right now but weather guys are saying we might have SNOW by Thursday night. So we'll see, but yay snow!

Didn't get everything done yesterday so still need to do some housely stuff today. Not much more at the moment except ... puppies. Hee.

The puppies are sleeping -- so cute!

I'm wolfing down a salad for lunch and then have to do a funeral service program. The very elderly at St. P's are not faring well lately. :(

Aren't the puppies adorable? I use them as a calming influence. *g*

... a funeral service program.

The lady who died (hers makes three funerals in three months) was 85. Until she was 83, she drove a red sports car, and she regularly showed up dressed to the nines, including matching leopard print high heels and handbag. She was such a fun person.

I would like to drive a red sports car when I'm a little old lady. :)

Hey.

Feeling okay this morning. Taking photos of the Golden because the scanner images just don't do the trick, really. The scanner separates colors which blend together softly to the eye, and it shifts things toward blue and red/pink in a way I don't like.

Showered and fed, I now have much stuff to do, beginning with Golden #2. Deadlines, you know. I hate them but would never get much done without 'em.

It is wicked cold again here, but sunny, and I plan to go walking a bit.

I think I often use deadlines the same way, but then I'm an inveterate procrastinator, which is not good.

And I kept meaning to say the first Golden was lovely. :-)

HI MARE AN NIGHTDOG! HI!

I am FINISHED with class for the day, and I'm looking at an UNSCHEDULED afternoon, and this makes me quite GLEEFUL. So, now I'm going to go have some lunch. *g*

It is cold here, too, and there was a little bit of snow overnight, so everything's kind of dusted, and I really would like to see some sunshine, KTHNX.

Deadlines, ugh.

ALSO AGAIN WITH THE SLEEPING PUPPIES. *pokes*

HI HELLO! I SEE SUNSHINE! FINALLY! Well, a little bit.

Alas, I can't go swimming. The pool's only open 12-1 (which, SRSLY, way to be accommodating, there) and I don't have my swim gear as Friday is Swim Day. Which it WILL be this week, or so help me. :)

There, lunch is Finished, (mmmm chili mac) and now I'm getting set to have some tea and tackle the List.

You know what was AWESOME about class today? I WILL TELL YOU: Today we talked about the logic of statistical testing--how we use a statistical test to make a decision about our experimental data and then apply that decision to the larger population--and I had two students tell me, during lab, that they learned more today than they had in the entire semester of statistics class. That the whole 'statistics' thing was finally starting to click.

I touched one of them on the shoulder, I was so excited.

Oh, sweetie -- that is awesome! Good for you! It just goes to show what a great teacher you are, for real. There are some instructors who never make these kinds of connections with their students.
