Sunny and cold, still some patches of snow on the ground. Three pics from Friday are under the cut.

Part of our back yard. You can see our two bird feeders and the suet basket hanging from the tree.

*G*

You got a white Christmas in Texas. That is so amazing, and CHANGO IS ADORABLE.

Heh. We actually had more snow than what it looks like in the photos -- it was so windy there were small drifts.

It's hard to get good shots of Chango -- she hardly stands still long enough.

That's why I try to photograph dogs in the sunlight -- morning or late afternoon, when it's from the side and not too glaring, but still pretty bright. It helps show the structure of their heads but also gives me enough light to use a fast shutter speed and still have a good exposure. Indoors, photos of dogs tend to be really blurry or way too dark.

Yep, these were taken probably around ... 10:30 or 11 in the morning, and the sun was really glaring and reflecting off the snow. Plus it's hard to get her to look for any length of time at the camera.

Wow! Snow! That's really awesome! What did Chango think of it all?

And awwwwwww! Chango is so cute! :-D

She was a little tentative about the whole thing -- really stepping cautiously at first and looking pretty stoic about the snow falling on her head. Then she thought it was okay but she still wasn't too thrilled with it.

She does have this kind of unsettled, "What the hell?" expression in that photo. It's really cute.

She couldn't figure out why Mr. N kept calling her when he apparently didn't want anything.

I'm sitting at the computer in a t-shirt and sneakers and I want to rush outside right now and start playing in that stuff.

Heh. Snow. I realize it's a novelty for you guys, and the timing is sweet. Me, I've had enough. Bring on spring already. So *sick* of shoveling. :P

Chango's bemusement at the snow is hilarious. The Fiend was initially confused by it last year (he'd probably never been out in it previously) and then decided that it was lots of fun. He gets a big kick out of diving into drifts and bulldozing through them using his head and chest. Pity I can't train him to use the shovel.

I think the most puzzling aspect of snow for Chango was snowballs. She could not grasp why something that seemed to be just as solid as one of her tennis balls simply fell apart in her mouth. Her bafflement was just hilarious.

And yeah, you guys get enough snow for the whole of Texas! Yikes!

EEEE CHANGO!!

HI HELLO NIGHTDOG!! *glomps*

The snow is coming down here, very fluffily and festively, and it's nice that we don't have to drive anywhere in it. The Mr and his mom are playing Mario Kart, and the Mr's dad and Z are napping. :)

I want some*pout* Artemis has been sniffing around the front door. It would be funny to drop her in a snowdrift. Stopped all of my other cats from ever wanting to go outside.

It rained all night and all morning here, hard too, but it turned to snow in the afternoon. The lake ice is covered in water.
