Sunny and warming up (65 degrees right now). Feeling a lot better (I took a Vicodin last night) but still not 100%.

Watched American Gangster last night -- Denzel Washington is such an awesome actor, and we kept spotting supporting actors and saying "Hey! That's -- " There was Armand Assante, and Cuba Gooding, Jr., and the guy who plays the police lieutenant on Monk ... hee.

He is a great actor, though he tends to pick bad projects. Is American Gangster good? I remember seeing the promo and thinking it looked good.
I sometimes have the same "Hey! That's -" experience watching FlashForward. "Hey! That's Mayor Royce from The Wire!".
I have errands to run today, but am not feeling motivated.

It was a good movie -- we missed the very beginning because we were channel-surfing, but it held our interest and by the end we were glad we'd watched it.

We just finished cleaning up some downstairs because another roofer is coming to talk to Mr. N us.

So I turned off the TV and turned on iTunes; had a second cup of coffee, made my bed, and put on my boots. Because I am a bit odd and sometimes paint better with boots on; it has been this way since 1993 and probably won't change any time soon.

And I am painting. There's this thing I just began, which I am calling Sunny Pumpkin for what I hope will be obvious reasons.

And John Prine is on iTunes now, singing leave the lights on til your baby gets home, a song I always hit REPEAT on because it makes me so happy and bouncy.

So. Off I go again. Oh yeah -- the big pears are on hiatus for the day, because I started them at night and now the light's too different. They'll be an evening endeavor.

I've been to the grocery store and have started sorting out books to give to the library. Corgiguy is about to give Rocket Dog a bath (RD is running around the house like crazy at the moment). Won't vacuum until the dog bath is over, though, because he flops down and rubs all over the carpet afterward. :)

We vacuumed and cleaned a bit, and the roofer called to tell us he was in the hospital with walking pneumonia. But at least the downstairs looks nice! Heh. And Chango does that too -- she wipes her face on the carpet when she gets wet.

Yikes. Poor guy! At least he called (they never do that here) and your downstairs is all clean and tidy.

I had to have another Stern Talk with Corgikid this afternoon about wasting money. If he doesn't shape up, I'm going to have to put him on a "here's your cash for the day" basis until his savings account is built back up.
