Very cloudy and cool (73 degrees), and very humid, but not raining, for the first time since Friday. Weather guys were showing rain totals last night, and where we live got about six and a half inches overall. Everything is muddy and swampy and very, very green.

Must pick up shirts and go to the store today (husband helpfully wrote e79s on the list). More later, but here is a weird and vaguely disturbing story from China about a snake with a foot. A real, clawed foot. Eeek!

Are E79s the output of Robot Chickens?

Hee! I had to look that up to find out it was a hot sauce -- I thought it was a drink, at first!

Yes, e79s are nuclear-powered eggs. *g*

70'sish.
today chris's bonus comes into our bank account! so i found a very reasonable deal on a small digital video camera (60min of recording time/space for just over a hundred dollars) and bought that; it should be here thursday, which is lovely. i'm going to take it on my trip. (i even found a pattern that matches my regular camera, hooray!) i still love shooting 'real' film (i have a super 8 camera with all the pieces) but that gets admittedly expensive, so. one tiny step closer to one of my dreams. (i used to be a film student a million years or so ago).

Calgon, take me away. I did four straight hours of financial stuff this morning. Gah. And we had a helluva thunderstorm most of the morning, but the sun is out now and it's lovely again.

I do not want to go look at mutant snake with clawed foot. *shudders*

You are a wise woman. My exact words when I looked at the mutant snake were "Oh, shit."

Although -- four straight hours of financial stuff (Financial Hell?) might be worse. ;-)

Clawed snakes are definitely worse. :D

It all actually went well. Stuff balanced on the first try and all the right reports were generated. There was just so freakin' much of it. Tuesday is my big number-crunching day, and the Padre for some unknown reason moved vestry meetings to Tuesday night, so the work for the day doubled.

EEEEEHHHHH! I think I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. Really, you grow up out in the country in the southeast and snakes in the house are not uncommon. But when they got claws? Sweet holy Jesus!

My brain would never handle four hours of financial stuff...all those numbers to be crunched. My math is so bad I don't believe my calculater when I use it. Math=pure torture. Seeing the snake=easy.

Hee! I've seen some speculation that perhaps this particular snake swallowed a too-large lizard, and one of its feet poked out through the snake's stomach and through its skin.

I don't know which is worse -- an evolving snake or the thought of a wriggling lizard inside a snake.
