Beautiful weather, a little humid but it's good to see the sun! Deck plants are still doing well, and one of the cherry tomatoes is starting to ripen. Unfortunately, something is chowing down on the basil, and we may have to move it or actually bring it back into the house. I keep looking for the guilty party, but whoever it is is quite good at not being there when I'm looking. Grrrr.

Anyway. Here's a great interview with Stephen King, by fellow writer Neil Gaiman. Text is beneath the cut ...  )

Potted the tomatoes, rosemary, and basil yesterday; planted a few pepper seeds in with the tomatoes just now. Still need to repot the baby olive tree (it's still growing!) and a couple of little succulents I picked up the other day. Took the flannel sheets off the bed, because it is essentially spring. :-D

Another Fly Free WIP coming up -- only a couple more, I'm sure to everyone's relief. *g*

Warm, sun trying to break through the morning clouds. Went back to Lowe's yesterday and bought rosemary, basil, and two tomato plants (cherry and patio). The plants look beautiful and healthy and have some blooms already, and, in the case of the patio, one tiny tomato. So today they'll be going in giant pots on the deck. Lowe's also had small Black Krim tomato plants for sale, and I must admit I am strongly tempted to go back tomorrow and get one of those. Because Black Krim tomatoes are delicious. Also yesterday I saw the first anole lizard of spring -- such a cute little guy, who was as surprised by me as I was him. Her. Whatever.

So. Gardening today, and another Fly Free WIP coming up.

Not of me, heh. Still recovering from Tuesday, just now worked up enough energy to vacuum the den. Felt better afterwards, though, and the den looks SO MUCH better. *g*

The mango seedling we planted a couple of weeks ago is growing! Two shots of it under the cut ...

Otherwise, there were four huge crows in the backyard this morning. Cottontails are still visiting, as is Mr. Mouse (okay, yes, I know it's a mouse but c'mon, he's really cute). Blue jays, doves and house finches visiting the water dish. :-)
