Friday by Numbers
Jan. 16th, 2015 04:03 pm1) Finally, after at least a solid week of dark clouds, we have sunshine and warmer temperatures. This has allowed us to be able to open the back door for Layla to come and go, which has made her super-happy and calmed some of her Crazy Puppy crazies, thank god.
2) Watched Only Lovers Left Alive last night, and ... well, I liked it, but I think maybe I could've done with a tad less atmosphere and a bit more story? I really liked Anton Yelchin as the hapless gofer and hanger-on Ian.
3) Had a huge scare on Wednesday, when Layla suddenly barfed and started shivering. She obviously felt terrible, so off we went to the vet, who said her gums were healthy and pink and her heart and lungs were strong and clear. She (the vet) believed it was some upper respiratory bug, most likely from the shelter (Layla had a slight, dry cough), so she gave us a course of Clavamox, to be given twice a day in soft food ... which means that Layla is DELIGHTED to be eating wet, stinky canned food. And she seems to be all right now. :D
I'm sure there's more, but I'm tired, and anyway, three things make a post. *g*
