Author Notes: This AU story was sparked by this late 19th-century albumen print photograph. As Blackmare noted, "In my mind, the Camera Obscura becomes something inexplicable, perhaps a distant twisted cousin of the Wardrobe that leads to Narnia." So that's what we wrote, although in this fic, it's not quite Narnia. This is also a story in three parts. Chapter Two will be posted tomorrow night, and Chapter Three, Thursday night.
