So tired; did not sleep well last night and was interrupted with phone calls from telemarketers this morning. But! My copy of The Two Towers came today, along with William Dalrymple's Return of a King: The Battle For Afghanistan 1839 - 42, and Eleanor Catton's The Luminaries, which won the Man Booker last year.

But I think I am reading Year Zero: A History of 1945, by Ian Buruma, next. *props eyelids open*
