Oh my god so fucking tired. Partly my fault -- I stayed up late to finish checking the links on the forthcoming Rec Page, then stayed up later to finish The Ocean at the End of the Lane. And then Mister Nightdog snored. :-P
So I really liked Ocean, but not quite enough to give it an A. It's ... either too short, or not long enough, but I still enjoyed it and would recommend it. I'd like to see someone make a movie of it. More than one reviewer on Amazon said Ocean was a lot like Gaiman's Coraline, but that Coraline was better. So I may give that a try. The NY Times review of Ocean is here, but I will strongly caution that it contains spoilers.
