Finished Karen Joy Fowler's We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves and really liked it, although I have to admit I did like the first half of the book much more than the second half. Fowler introduced some characters I cared nothing about, but even going into the novel knowing The Big Twist (as I did) the author still surprised me with other plot twists. A good read that raises a lot of thorny moral and ethical issues.

Started Philipp Meyer's The Son, and good GOD it is a RIP-SNORTING ROARING FAMILY SAGA. A very enjoyable read so far.

Warm and sunny today -- we are having an unseasonal cool spell, so it is only 90 (32.2 Celsius) instead of 98 or 100. Cooking a brisket for dinner. Happy Fourth of July, and happy Thursday. *g*

I actually am still writing -- just not very much.
